Privacy Policy

Very Beryl respects the privacy rights of our customers and we conform to a privacy policy that adheres to the UK Data Protection Act.

What personal information about our customers does Very Beryl collect?

When an order is placed with us, we need to hold personal information (name, phone numbers, home address, Email address) so that we can deal with and fulfill your orders. Credit/Debit card details are neither transmitted nor held on the Very Beryl system, they are entered directly into our payment partner system, Ogone.

Like many websites, we use cookies which tell us about how users navigate the site. We use this information to provide a more relevant site for you. Your web browser should allow you to choose whether or not to allow cookies - you can still use our site if cookies are disabled.

Your personal information may also be verified with credit agencies to prevent fraud. We may disclose your information to any relevant regulatory body where we are legally required to do so.

To change your personal information (e.g. new address), please log in to the site using the MY ACCOUNT menu, where your personal details are available for review or change.

How do we process payments?

To provide optimum credit/debit card security and keep your personal information secure, Very Beryl use Ogone (a secure and trusted payment gateway) in conjunction with HSBC to process online card payments. Very Beryl never see your card details and no credit/debit card information is stored on our systems or at our premises.

From the checkout area you will be taken to a secure payment page provided by Ogone, here you will give your card details.

To confirm that your connection is secure, look for a locked padlock icon or solid key icon at the bottom of your browser window. The letters "https" (rather than "http") located in the URL Address Bar at the top of your browser also indicate that you are using a secure browser.

Very Beryl never has access to your financial details - we receive confirmation only from Ogone when your payment has been authorised.
